Sanitary pads may seem harmless, but improper disposal is risky. Made from latex and synthetic materials, they do not break down. They can stretch and snag in pipes, causing blockages that impair flow and lead to expensive repairs.
Condoms, also typically latex, can create similar problems if flushed. They can fill with water or waste, increasing the chance of a blockage. Once lodged, they are difficult to remove and often require a plumber.
