5. Steam Scrambled Eggs

Purpose: Steam eggs in a water bath for the silkiest, softest scrambled eggs

This method creates incredibly creamy scrambled eggs using the steam technique.

Ingredients 4 large eggs Salt and pepper (to taste) Nonstick cooking spray Instructions Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Prepare the Baking Pan: Spray an 8" by 8" baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Beat the Eggs: In a bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into the Pan: Pour the beaten eggs into the prepared baking pan. Create a Water Bath: Place the baking pan inside a larger roasting pan. Fill the outer pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the baking pan. Bake: Carefully place the setup in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are set but still soft. Stir and Serve: Gently stir the eggs to create a creamy texture and serve immediately.

 

Steamed Scrambled Eggs

This method enhances the creaminess of scrambled eggs by using a water bath for steaming.

Ingredients 4 large eggs Salt and pepper (to taste) Optional spices (e.g., herbs, cheese) Nonstick cooking spray Instructions Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Prepare the Baking Dish: Spray an 8" by 8" baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Whisk the Eggs: In a bowl, whisk the eggs together with salt, pepper, and any desired spices. Pour into the Dish: Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Set Up the Water Bath: Place the 8" by 8" dish inside a 9" by 13" inch baking dish. Fill the larger dish with hot water until it reaches the top of the egg mixture. Bake: Carefully place the setup in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the eggs are set and silky. Serve: Remove from the oven, stir gently, and serve warm.
