The Tibetan Mastiff is a giant with a double coat that changes color seasonally. At 99–165 pounds, this vigilant dog is a passionate family guardian. The American Kennel Club calls them “Guardian Dog Supreme” for indoor calm and outdoor territoriality. Former Himalayan watchdogs, they are independent and self-assured, using size and a deep bark to deter threats.
